A "Lusciously Lokal" Saturday

This is what Kim and I will be doing tonight. The Lusciously Lokal fashion show. I'll be watching (and eating... and drinking) in the audience, while Kim will be behind the stage, this has been her love child for the past month or so. She is the co-directing the whole thing with our amazing friend Sam, who just happens to own our favorite local store Loka.

The tickets are sold out for the show, but if you're in the area, and you have a free night, pop down to the Heriot Bay Inn at around 9pm to check out the outfits, meet the designers, listen to some music and watch some fire spinning. It's going to be an awesome evening.

Let's talk Tattoos.....

So, what do you think of tattoos? Do you love them, hate them? Do you have any? What are they? I myself love tattoos! I got my first tattoo when I was 21, 2 months after my first child was born, a small blue star on my lower back. Then about 3 yrs ago I had a major itch to get more....so I got 2 stars, one on each of my frontal shoulders, then a year later I got 3 swallows, one for each of my kids. I definitely have plans to get more.....not 100% sure what, but I have many ideas in my head, I'm always on the hunt for the perfect one.

Growing Pains on Cinco de Mayo

It's Wednesday and while we're not drinking wine yet, the things that we are doing, contemplating and talking about are going to lead us to the bottle soon.

What is it that we're talking about? Well that's none of your business, but it's about growing up again and we're suffering growing pains. Feeling sorry for ourselves, because things don't fall into our laps. Really, why is that so much to ask for? For everything to be handed to us on a silver platter, I mean.

On a more positive note, it's Cinco de Mayo today. Which is really only a day that us North Americans use as an excuse to drink. Did you know that most Mexicans don't even celebrate this day? Yeah, like I said, an excuse to drink. And you know, we love an excuse to drink as much as you do, so let's drink. And in the mean time, here are a few Mexican things that we love.
