Layer Up.

It's been raining for almost 2 weeks now. I suppose that means Fall is here. Usually I adore Fall, it's my favorite season, but I was hoping for Summer to at lease last through August.

Oh well.

Fall means I get to sit inside drinking tea, reading, watching tv and knitting and no one can say f*ck all about it.

It also means that I get to have 2 day weekends again. Not Mandy though, she only gets one, bahahahaha!

So anyways, I was sitting inside recently, because of said rain, being not just Awesome, but productively Awesome. I've started knitting cowls again, you should probably come buy yours before my cowl motivation dwindles, or rather transforms into hat motivation, or purse motivation or some equally Awesome motivation.

We also got in an order of oversized cotton jersey cowls, and galaxy print cowls.

It's time for layers.

Layer up people.

Fall...

It's coming.

I'm flipping between dreading it and willing it to come. The store get pretty quiet in the fall, in comparison to the summer, but the clothes are awesome.

In the next few weeks the fall clothes will be rolling out.

Layering things.

Skirts, scarves, tights, jackets.

In the mean time, leggings are our transition pieces and we're pretty stoked on them.

Girls with Tattoos

Sunday marked another Quadra Girls tattoo day, with Kim, Kirstie, Maya, Brandi and myself all driving down to Courtenay to the Black Rose Tattoo Company.

All of us, but Brandi, got "bro tats"
Maya
Kim
Kirstie
Lissy
And then we got tats of our own:

Maya got a Lotus, she sketched herself, on her back.

Kirstie finally got her beautiful on her ribs.

Beautiful Brandi got her roses filled.
And they're pretty.

Kim's seasonal moons. February, May, June.
Lissy got this :)
Everyone is happily healing now. I'm having a hard time not picking at mine, sometimes I do pick at it....

Making Things That Are Awesome...

comes naturally to me. When one is awesome, one can't help to inject awesome into all one does.

One exudes awesomeness.

Take this B!tch, for instance:

it's pretty Awesome.

B!tch bags Are Back!

Yeah, it's been awhile since I've shown any bags. I've been hoarding them for some reason. Today, I decided to stop being a f*cking weirdo (at least pertaining to this) and put the bags up for sale. So they are, for sale that is. In-store only atm. Here's a peak at 5 of them. Fox sold before she even hit the shelf.

A Change Room of Our Own.

We've been talking about it for almost a year now, needing a change room.  Customers have been using our tea stained bathroom for far too long.  But, as we like to do, we put it off for a bit, and then a few more bits. Then one day, eons after we first had the idea, we decide to just finally do it.

4 days and 5 trips to our local building supply later, we have a fully functioning change room built by our four tiny girl hands. (OK, to be honest, there was no reason why this should have taken that long or that many trips to the Building Supply, that's just the way we like to do things. The long and complicated route.)

We're pretty proud of ourselves.

Supplies we used:

A drill
Some screws and drywall plugs
3 L-brackets (ugly ones, sigh)
1 Old door
2 Closet rod brackets
Doweling
1 Shower curtain

How to put it together is pretty clear, no?

And ta-da! People don't have to see our ugly bathroom anymore!

Ermmm... Hi

Sooo..... it's been a year. More than a year, actually. Sorry, clearly we are the worst at a lot of things, blogging motivation being one of those things (exercising being another, and dealing with recycling... and completing a task to 100% completion and math). But anyways, here I am, saying, "Hi".

Hi.

We've changed a bit in the last year.

And by a bit, I mean hardly at all.

We still drink too much tea and eat too much soft cheese. We now sit on chairs, rather than stools, while we eat said cheese and we drink our tea out of china tea cups. (If you follow us on instagram or facebook you probably know all this already.)

We have a few more tattoos, and our hair is a bit longer. Speaking of hair, we haven't used real shampoo since the beginning of February, we now use the "No Poo" method, which sounds way more gross than it actually is, google it.

Mandy now works at our small medical clinic a few days a week and I have set up my "studio" here and make things sometimes, when I'm not trying to learn how to build an online store with wordpress, that is.

And we now do monthly giveaways on facebook. If you don't "Like" us there, you're totally missing out.

Any-hoodle,
See ya around,
(Maybe)
