A Marriage Moment with a touch o' Craft...

ChrisTopher got home from work yesterday and went straight out to cut firewood. Me, being the Best Wife in the Whole World went out to help him.

I grabbed my work gloves and skipped out to the woodshed.

"Hi!" I chirped at him. Pulling on my gloves and slapping them together, my hands, in the gloves, that is. They made a fun thwap sound, so I did it again.

Topher looked at me narrowly. "What are you doing?"

"I've come to help!" Being the Best Wife in the Whole World makes me really happy, so I practically sang the words and enthusiastically waved my gloved hands at him.

C-Toph bought me the gloves for Christmas a few years back. (What's that you're saying? No? No, yes, yes he did buy me work gloves for a present. It's because I'm such a hard worker...)

He frowned at them as if he's not sure what they're doing on my hands. "No, that's alright, Liss. You can go sit down and...." he looked around helplessly, unsure of how to finish maybe.

See, he loves me soooo much he doesn't want me to have to work, at anything, ever. Really. He loves it when I do nothing at all. He doesn't look confused at all because seeing me in work gloves, attempting to stack wood, is just about the equivalent of Jesus making his Second Coming for the soul purpose of stacking firewood with him.

Nope.

Helping with the firewood, I do it all the time. All. The. Time.

"Shut up, Toph. Why would I sit down when I can stack firewood?" I rolled my eyes at him and scoffed, "Seriously, I'm awesome at this. I love it."

"Just... don't hurt yourself," he said after a pause.

Again, I scoffed.

30 minutes later, I was pretty sure I was going to die. Why did I think that helping was a good idea? Oh right, being the Best Wife in the Whole World. Well...

I'm pretty sure I'm still the Best Wife in the Whole World while sitting on my ass drinking tea.

"Are we... almost... done?" I panted at Topher.

He scrunched his eyebrows at me in that considering sorta way and looked at me for a moment. "Yeah. You go ahead, I'll be in shortly."

I refrain from shouting, "Thank you sweet Baby Jesus" and just said like the BWWW I am, "Great! I'll make you a cuppa!" and pranced away to the house, where I drowned my trauma of "helping" with tea and knitting.

Wanna see what I made? Of course you do. Keep in mind, it's not finished...

Yup, Bella style fingerless gloves... or glove rather. I took this picture and then decided that the post should probably have a "personal touch picture". Which obviously means gracing you all with a picture of myself. But it's too early for that sh*t. So I attempted to do a cute peakaboo picture and got this...

Which is much more me than a anything else I guess...
